Here I am home in Dalton, Georgia. It has been the hardest journey of my life to get where I am now. I still have a little ways to go but as far as I see I have blue skies ahead.
I go to rehab every day during the week, from 9AM to 4PM. The 30th is my last day of rehabilitation in Atlanta, Georgia. After I get out I still have to go to rehab but it will be close to home and only one or two hours, once or twice a week.
After all this cycling is going to be a cake walk. A brain injury is like nothing I have ever experienced, it reminds me of Lance when he had cancer. I imagine after he went through cancer everything was easy for him that's why he won the Tour seven times. I am planning on coming back to racing one day, and coming back twice as strong.
It will be at least one year. Everything is going well. I appreciate all the support every one sends.
My best,
Saul
