Hi BiciRace,
I am happy to read about the recover of Saul. [Read: Raisin Inside Scoop: Full Time Rehab in Georgia]
This year's Giro has been really amazing, even if it was stressful and sometimes I needed silence and peace.
I really enjoyed being in the team with friends like Aaron Olson, Trentin, Mazur, and all the other guys I already knew.
We were really tired after the Giro but some of us were scheduled for Dauphiné. In France I aimed to ride a good TT, which more or less happened, and then help in the mountains. I was not in super form but I was able to survive every day, even if with a crash on the descent from the Col du Mollard in stage six. Some abrasions that disturbed me during the night every time I would move! The race reminded me of my previous Tour de France, with bad food at the hotel :) But I enjoyed being there.
This week I will recover and speed my legs with motor pacing a couple of days, I need it after so many climbs.
Sunday I will race the Team Time Trial in Eindhoven, warming up for the nationals the following Tuesday!
Ciao,
Marco
