End of 2005 and the Christmas days have gone well. It's been a very cold week with lots of snow and freezing temperatures. Despite that, I complied with my training program, cutting part of the overall volume and focusing on intensity. I used an indoor trainer sometimes and also trained outside in temperatures less than 0°C. I will make this experience useful in the next months when I'll think back to it in my mind.
I spent the end of 2005 going to theatre with my wife seeing the comedy from the famous movie When Harry Met Sally and we both enjoyed it. I feel like I am a bit ahead comparing my training with last year, and that's what I need because I have to race in Los Angeles. On January 8th I will leave for Valencia with the Italian track team, where we will train until Saturday the 14th. Then the following day we will travel to Los Angeles. That's another new experience and I hope to get all the good things from it: training on the track and with warmer temperature, doing new specific work-outs, knowing a new group and dealing with jet lag again. And of course have a preview of California before the coming Tour next February.
Bye
Marco
