I am happy about my performance [in World Championship TT], but not so happy about the overall results. I did a good race, had no problems during the race and felt good. I tried to keep a high rpm and I could have pushed a bit harder, but I do not know.
Considering the great amount of good riders today in Madrid, I am not disappointed, even if I wished to beat Bruseghin. He proved in the last races (Germany and Benelux) that he was in great form, while I lacked some days of competition, but definitely I have no regrets.
Everything went well today, since breakfast, the ride in the morning (35K, 1 hour), and then lunch (rice and Italian ham), the warm up (50 minutes on rollers) and a good feeling about the race.
I am not as tired as I usually am after a TT. That's an ambiguous sign: Either I didn't give it my all, or I have recovered very well ... Who knows!? A special thanks to my brother Sergio and his friends for their unbelievable support.
bye
