That was awesome! Robbie McEwen is such a scrappy, crafty sprinter to be able to pull out a victory in a stage like the one we saw today in Charleroi! Ale-Jet had the textbook lead-out - the victory bouquet was practically served up on a silver platter.

That's why I think McEwen is such an exciting sprinter to watch. No other sprinter out there can routinely win like he does when the chips are stacked against him. It's also further evidence that Ale-Jet is not a suitable replacement for Super Mario. Petacchi is beaten in situations where he is all but delivered across the line, only to have victory snatched from under his nose in the final few meters. This happens way too often to draw any comparisons with Mario Cipollini.

Next thing I'd like to see is McEwen win a sprint riding his trademark wheelie across the line.
