The 2006 Critérium International presents three stages, each with its own particular features: the first stage, run on the flatlands from Sedan to Charleville-Mézières. This stage is followed by the rolling Sunday morning stage, using the Ardennes. Riders will face a new difficulty, the Roc la Tour, a climb of more than three kilometers, touching 10% gradient. The finale of the three-stage race is the traditional and decisive crono, in the superb setting of the Place Ducale, where the overall winner will be decided by seconds.
