BiciRace.com had a pleasant surprise the other day when our citofono rang, it was our shipment of pens from Prodir. The Swiss-based company produced a multitude of customized pens for our website... Yep, every pen has the BiciRace.com logo on the clip and the slogan down the side: "BiciRace.com... News in English... from Italy"

You probably recognize the name from the company's involvement in professional cycling, they are the secondary sponsor of the Spanish registered ProTour team, Saunier Duval-Prodir. In the USA they always take top billing, that is why in our Tour of California coverage you saw Prodir-Saunier Duval after the names of riders like Simoni, Pinotti and the young Riccò. They happily became involved in the top-flight cycling in 2004 when Mauro Gianetti formed the team.

Forget about Swiss watches or chocolate, BiciRace.com thinks the Prodir pens are the country's best export.
