Aerator 3v Tom Boonen Limited Edition - This is the name of the new model from Northwave that the World Champion wore for last Saturday's Milano-Sanremo.

Northwave, Treviso-based footwear company and world leader in production for road and mountain footwear, as a testimony to their excellence has produced a special model for Tom Boonen. The Belgian has his own newly-designed model, with World Champion strips on the upper and three velcro closures, called Aerator 3v Tom Boonen Limited Edition.

Implemented with the Web Power Cage system for the best and most efficient upper ventilation, which is optimized for comfort, and with a sole of TLS 3 Carbon Layers, extremely light and rigid. The Tom Boonen Limited Edition is the "World Champion" Aerator 3v model, a top of the line exclusive production from Northwave.

The Worlds shoes was worn by the Belgian along the roads of the Milano-Sanremo, the first grand classic of the season to be contested by all of the one-day protagonists. The new model will be made available to the BiciRace.com readers at stores starting in April.

Other than World Champion Tom Boonen, there was numerous other riders sporting Northwave footwear at the Milano-Sanremo: Spanish star Alejandro Valverde (Caisse d'Epargne-Illes Balears), Belgian Mario Aerts (Davitamon-Lotto) and young and talented Italian Riccardo Riccò (Saunier Duval-Prodir, [did not start]).
