EICMA - Rudy Project

While at EICMA (the Milano Bike Show), BiciRace.com had a chance to talk to Simone Barbazza, one of the head guys at Rudy Project.

If you're looking for some new eyewear, then Rudy Project has the shades for you. This year the Treviso based company has come out with some new lenses, the ImpactX. Simone was excited about the new lenses, and demonstrated their optimal qualities.

While Simone was banging and bending the new lens in front of us, he explained how the same patented polyurethane optical polymer is used in the United States military for windshields. Rudy project believes that if the material (NXT®) is good enough to stop bullets piercing an Apache helicopter, then it is good enough for their eyewear. This year Rudy Project is offering the NXT® technology in their ImpactX lenses.

Rudy Project guarantees that the ImpactX lenses won't break or crack. This protection does not mean that these lenses will be slipping down your nose, because they are lightweight. Along with the lightness, they have a polarized technology, which means that you won't be putting your glasses on top of your head when the clouds start to cover the sky.
