Lampre-Fondital Official

For 2006 the squadra of Damiano Cunego and his boys will be known as Lampre-Fondital. An official agreement was signed between Lampre team manager, Beppe Saronni, and the president of the Fondital, Silvestro Niboli.

Fondital, who will take the current spot of Caffita, is a heating and cooling company based in Brescia. Caffita was the incarnation of the former cycling sponsor Saeco. The involvement of both Caffita and Saeco were due to the passion and enthusiasm of Sergio Zappella, company owner.

Along with the new co-sponsor is the news of the contract renewal of Salvatore Commesso. The Italian (30) was left high and dry by the SonyEricsson debacle. Commesso, former Italian Champion and Tour de France stage winner, will be a huge asset for Lampre-Fondital in the coming year.
