Vacation then Training for Pozzato

Pippo Leads Chase in Deutschland

The off-season is a time to relax and go on vacations for the professional cyclists. Guido Trenti, Luca Paolini, Danilo Di Luca and Filippo Pozzato are all taking a little vacation together to the African island of Zanzibar. You might think that these guys spend way too much time together in the season to then take a vacation together, but they are all close friends that will enjoy the time to further bond.

The off-season is short, and immediately afterwards the pros have to start building on their base that will take them through the coming season. For Pozzato (24) this means going to the gym and working on bike handling. The Quick-Step rider will work on his base that will take him to the start of his season in Spain at the Vuelta a Mallorca. From Spain Pozzato dreams of winning Italy's spring classic, the Milano-Sanremo. It is a lofty goal for the winner of this year's HEW-Cyclassics, he has two teammates who will take seniority: Paolo Bettini and Tom Boonen. Quick-Step is a team where all the riders get their chances, and we wish Pippo the best of luck.
